Notes:

Overall a weak level of competition. In the long, Slutskaya landed triple toe, triple toe - double toe, and triple Salchow. She touched down on triple Lutz, fell on triple flip and doubled the loop. Lautrowa was solid on triple Lutz, triple Salchow, and triple toe, but almost fell on the flip, and loop. Czako landed triple toe - double toe, triple Salchow, and triple toe. She fell on triple Lutz, and nearly fell on triple Salchow and triple loop.

Notes:

Yagudin landed all the triple through triple Axel, but looked a bit stiff. He two footed his attempt at quad toe. Tataurov landed six triples, including one triple Axel. His second triple Axel was landed on two feet. Pliushenko, the current World Junior Champion, skated well landing most of the triples. He attempted a quad toe, but put his hand down on the landing.

Notes:

For the free dance, Semenovich/Fedorov did a fascinating disco version of Malagena. Davidova/Kostomarov incorporated break dancing into their free dance, while Filipowicz/Szumski did a more traditional free dance to music from Grease.
