The USFSA ProAm's just get weirder and weirder. Originally organized in the traditional format and including both eligible and ineligible skaters, they switched to a team format when the pro's no longer wanted to enter and get creamed by the eligible skaters. The teams at first were made up of skaters from the different disciplines. This time, instead, it was the "boys" against the "girls".
Six ladies and six men competed in Greensboro, with official results determined using the trimmed point method (drop out the high and the low marks). The Ladies beat the Men by 351.5 points to 350.8 points. Official results were also released for the entire group of skaters - men and ladies together. We also include unoffical results if the scores were processed using ISU rules as separate Ladies and Men's events.
This event will be broadcast on 27 April 1997.
