Did Chan Fall in the Short Program?

ISU Rulebook Definition of a Fall

ISU Rule 353 includes the following:

"a fall is defined as loss of control by a Skater with the result that the majority of his/her own body weight is on the ice supported by any other part of the body other than the blades e.g. hand(s), knee(s), back, buttock(s) or any part of the arm;"

To receive a fall deduction the buttocks do not have contact the ice, nor do the blades have to leave the ice.  The viewer can decide for themselves if the majority of Chan's weight was supported by the blades.  In our opinion, the hands are supporting the majority of the skater's weight in these pictures.

Others are free to disagree.
