Carol's sister Nancy was also a competitive figure skater.  At the 1959 U.S. National Championships Carol was the Gold and Nancy Silver medallist.  They are the only sisters to medal in a Senior Singles event at the U.S. Championships.

Worked as a skating commentator during the 1980s.
